   We paid Mr. Boatwright a total of $550 for (1) a 60-minute consultation, during which he only gave us 15 minutes, talked over us, and dismissed us, not listening to the details of our circumstance and (2) further research. We only received a copy of a statute that we already had and for which we were asking clarification in our circumstance–none was given.

   I emailed Mr. Boatwright twice, clarifying the details he had refused to listen to during our phone conversation. He ignored my first email and only responded in a second that I was being belligerent for asking that he provide the answers we had paid for.

   We are filing formal complaints with the VA State Bar, initiating a fee dispute process, and filing complaint with the VA Attorney General’s Office and recommend that anyone with similar issues do the same.
